Grocery Shopping and Delivery App
How and Why?
The idea was to integrate a mobile application into supermarkets, allowing customers to scan products and pay for their cart without approaching a cashier.
What Was Required of Us?
There was only an idea. We had to develop security systems, methods for integrating with store accounting systems, UX, UI, and all the technical work. The project was challenging but exciting. Spoiler – we succeeded!

After finalizing the brand identity, we began working on the main client application. Designing all the necessary functionality took us a month. Next, we developed the UI for the CRM and internal application. It had to reflect statistics and be functionally useful for the retailer’s internal use.
Developed the Core System
We started exploring solutions long before the design and logos. It was crucial to refine several core concepts:
Product and sales data exchange
Real-time communication with any popular accounting system (ERP)
Loyalty program integration
Pay&GO purchases
Security
We brainstormed and tested until everything was optimized and clear, then began developing the production solution.
We built the backend primarily using:
Node.js + MongoDB for the main system and public API
Golang + MySQL for the microservice handling all internal processes
RabbitMQ for message exchange between services
The result was a great service providing all the functionality of the MVP and essential features for interacting with stores.
Mobile Application
We needed to develop applications for iOS and Android in the shortest time possible. So, we opted for a hybrid app using React Native – optimal! This way, we tackled two platforms at once and cut the budget in half.

Due to the pandemic, offline store revenues dropped, and the client, on a recommendation, reached out to our company. Goal: launch a website and start selling products from the warehouse with delivery or pickup options.

Our main server system for the app and the middleware layer that interacts with it, providing APIs for accounting systems. The mobile app is developed in Swift for iOS and Java for Android devices.
